“Success Today, Success Tomorrow, Success Together”
Our Place
Our Place / Ngā whaitua is hugely important.
Places of significance provide us with a sense of connection; a sense of belonging that shapes our identity. It becomes the foundation on which we make sense of who we are.
A place-based education gives meaning to learning by allowing our students to see and apply it within their local environment. It strengthens a learner's identity; reinforces their sense of belonging, and helps them become stewards over their local environment whether it be from a political, economic, social, technological, environmental, or scientific perspective.
At the heart is the community which partners together to foster student engagement and achievement via the real-world application of interdisciplinary content knowledge that is required for community, civic engagement, and career readiness.
